Tim Shay, President (State Public Health, 2014)

Tim Shay is a Chief Sanitarian with the New York State Department of Health with over 26 years of public health experience. Since 2005, he has had statewide management responsibilities for Recreational Environmental Health Programs including swimming pools, bathing beaches and children's camps. Responsibilities include oversight of swimming pool and spray ground design standards, coordination of recreational water outbreaks, drowning investigations, data analysis, and regulation and policy development and implementation. Tim was elected Board President in 2019.
Tracynda Davis, Vice President (State Public Health, NEHA Representative, 2014)

Tracynda Davis holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida, with a concentration in Environmental Health. She was selected for and attended the inaugural class of CDC’s Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute. She has over 15 years of environmental and public health experience working in local, state, and federal health agencies crafting regulatory guidance and training public health officials on federal, state, and local regulations. She is Technical Advisor for Recreational Health for the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and serves as a peer reviewer for NEHA’s Journal of Environmental Health. In 2009, she published research on the sanitary condition of waterparks in the Journal of Water and Health.
Bob Vincent, Secretary (State Public Health, 2014)

Bob Vincent is the Environmental Administrator, Bureau of Environmental Health, Water Programs Section, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Florida Dept. of Health since 2003. He is Manager of DOH Programs for Healthy Marine Beaches, Safe Drinking Water, Water Well Surveillance & Public Pools and Bathing Places. He has 30 years’ experience with the Florida Department of Health at local health departments and headquarters in administration and Environmental Health field work for many fields—public swimming pools, drinking water, food sanitation, onsite sewage, group care, zoonotic vectors, and epidemiology.
Jim Dunn, Treasurer (Aquatics Industry, Provider, 2014)

Jim Dunn is the Vice President of design and construction with Aquatic Development Group where he has had over twenty years of waterpark development and construction experience. He is also a registered architect in the State of New York. His responsibilities range from specific system design to overall project planning and management of the conceptual design and development of waterparks, aquatic centers, and specialty feature projects. Completed projects credited to Mr. Dunn’s leadership and skill include Camelbeach Waterpark; Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, St. Louis, Missouri; Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois; and Massanutten Resort Indoor Waterpark. He became CMAHC Treasurer in 2017.
David Dyjack, Board Member (Local Public Health, 2018)

David Dyjack is Executive Director & CEO of the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), a position he has held since May 2015. He contributes to many national and international advisory committees in public health covering the broad menu of capacity building initiatives inclusive of adult continuing professional education, formal academic degrees, emergency preparedness, & environmental health. Throughout his career, Dave has worked in over 50 countries, most recently in the Congo, South Sudan, and post-earthquake Haiti. Under his leadership, NEHA has established a presence in Washington D.C. in support of efforts to influence national policy, launched a new learning management system and new client relations management system, among other association improvements intended to provide NEHA members world-class service. David earned a doctorate in public health from the University of Michigan, an MSPH from the University of Utah, and is a board certified industrial hygienist (CIH).
Franceen Gonzales, Board Member (Aquatics Industry, Operator, 2017)

Franceen Gonzales is the Executive Vice President of Business Development for WhiteWater West Industries of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. WhiteWater is the global leader in designing and manufacturing attractions for the waterpark and amusement industries. Franceen is a 30-year industry veteran starting with her first job as a pool technician and lifeguard to working as an executive for Great Wolf Resorts, Six Flags, and Golfland Entertainment Centers where she has focused on building leadership teams, creating effective operating protocols, developing and opening new waterparks and resorts, and directing risk management strategies. She currently oversees a team serving WhiteWater clients in North and South America and the Caribbean. As a Spanish-speaker, Franceen spends time in Latin America developing emerging markets and speaking at conferences. Franceen has held leadership roles in industry groups such as IAAPA, WWA, ASTM International, NSPF, and AIMS. She has been recognized with multiple industry awards for her volunteer work; especially in amusement industry safety, aquatic risk management, and global technical standards development.
Jody Kneupper, Board Member (Aquatics Industry, Operator, 2017)

Jody Kneupper is a Regional General Manager for Premier Parks, an operator of multiple theme and water parks across the US and Canada. Part of his responsibility is to manage Wet’n’Wild Splashtown in Houston, Texas where he has worked for the company since 2009. As a Regional General Manager, Jody also helps oversee several other properties as well as coordinate operations for all 15 properties Premier Parks operates
Jody began his career in the water park industry in 1989 as a lifeguard at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas. He continued working there for the next several years through high school and college. After graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Jody went to work at Raging Waters- San Dimas as the Aquatics Manager. For the next thirteen years, he moved around the country working various positions in revenue and operations at many great parks such as Wet’n’Wild Emerald Pointe in North Carolina, Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas and Mountain Creek in New Jersey. Jody later made his way back to New Braunfels as the Director of Operations at Schlitterbahn prior to accepting his position at Wet’n’Wild Splashtown. Jody is currently an Instructor Trainer on faculty for the Ellis and Associates (E&A) International Aquatic Safety School, is C.P.O. certified and a licensed EMT in the State of Texas. Jody currently serves on the E&A Advisory Board, the IAAPA Global Membership Committee and is Chairman of the IAAPA Water Park Committee.
John Linn, Board Member (Aquatics Industry, Operator, 2014)

John Linn is a registered engineer with an extensive background in water treatment systems. He spent his early years designing marine aquatic animal life support systems for major zoos and aquariums. Currently John is responsible for oversight of all capital execution for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. In addition, he has corporate responsibility for all water systems, including those at their five waterparks.
Alvaro Mendoza, Board Member (Aquatics Sector, Provider, 2017)

Alvaro Mendoza, co-founder of Commercial Energy Specialists, Inc. (CES), is recognized as one of the leading aquatic water quality experts in the US. Alvaro's extensive experience in alternative energy technologies has provided a unique opportunity to pioneer energy conversions in aquatic treatment applications. Since 1983, CES has provided Service Supported Distribution (SSD) of water treatment programs for thousands of the premier pools in Florida and the Caribbean. These programs are custom-tailored to each site and treatment application. Currently CES provides 24/7 monitoring and/or water quality control services for over 500 million gallons of water. CES's commitment to continuing innovation and improvement, along with historically responsive customer service is a reflection of the deeply rooted beliefs of the CES management team. CES relies on its strong orientation on education and on-site training and support to assure success in each project and treatment application. He was also a member of the MAHC Facility Design and Construction Technical Committee during the development phase of the MAHC.
Carl Nylander, Board Member (Aquatics Industry, Provider, 2017)

Carl Nylander, P.E. is Principal and Studio Director at Counsilman-Hunsaker where he is responsible for the planning and design of aquatic facilities serving municipalities, universities, YMCAs, school districts, and hospitality establishments. He has served as the Chairman for the Facility Design & Construction Technical Committee as part of the Model Aquatic Health Code development process from 2009 to 2014. He has also served as the Chairman for the CMAHC Technical Review Committee for the 2015 and 2017 Biennial Conferences.
Jim Rada, Board Member (Local Public Health, 2017)

Jim Rada currently serves as Environmental Health Services Division Director for Jefferson County Public Health in suburban Denver, Colorado. As a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, he has devoted his entire career to service as a public health official at the county government level. His diverse 36-year career experience has taken him from urban to rural communities dealing with issues ranging from consumer health and water quality to the built environment relationship to health and the public health impacts of oil and gas development. Throughout his career, Jim has participated on many committees, advisory boards, and task forces in the development of policies, regulations, and legislation with statewide application most recently as a Colorado Water Quality Control Commissioner. Jim is currently leading an effort on Colorado to update the laws and regulations governing aquatic facilities across the state.
Pieter Sheehan, Board Member (Local Public Health, 2017)

Pieter Sheehan is the Director of the Division of Environmental Health with the Fairfax County Health Department in Fairfax, Virginia. Since 2012, he has overseen the regulatory and outreach activities including body art, childcare, drinking water, food safety, lodging, onsite sewage, public health nuisance, recreational aquatic, indoor air and vector surveillance/control. Prior to Fairfax County Mr. Sheehan was with St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment; St. Louis County Department of Health both in Missouri; Monterey County, Department of Health in Salinas, California; and Maricopa County, Department of Environmental Services in Phoenix, Arizona.
